As someone who never used livejournal in its heyday, posting here is confusing to me at best. I'm not really sure what I should be writing, or how I should be formatting things. I guess I'll just learn as I go?
Ultimately though, I find that I like the idea of placidly posting my thoughts into the void, so maybe I'll use this site more often if I just break the ice. I'm looking forward to just spilling my thoughts out into a place where I can find them later and not worrying about too many people seeing them.
Obviously I don't mind if people see them at all, or I wouldn't be posting on the internet, but there's a certain relief in knowing nobody follows me here and I can just say whatever I want.

Date: 2022-11-19 10:42 pm (UTC)From:Most people post somewhere between daily to weekly. A few people post monthly or less, but then it's hard to get readers. A few post more than once a day; some people like this, others get overwhelmed. I'm the prolific sort. Do what works for you.
Many bloggers have recurring posts that appear daily, weekly, or monthly. This makes it easy to maintain activity, and some of the types are quick to create. Just pick one or more topics you love and make a frame. Some artists post a sketch per day or week. Some people like to review things. And so on.

Formatting can be tricky. Some codes work reliably, others don't.

That's a good idea.

... and now I get to the end of a string of interesting posts and realize you may not have been looking for this much chatter. Oops.

I am not much good with code, between computers going haywire on me generally, and a tendency to scramble letters and numbers when typing. I can just about manage a handful of frequently used functions on DW, and not much more.
